We know, We understand, We help

Chances are that if you’re reading this you or a loved one is struggling with the seemingly overwhelming problem of hoarding. We at Accident Scene Cleaners understand and are here to offer support and help.

First of all, we know that taking the first step to allow us to talk to you is stressful and then taking the next step and allowing us to come in to clean your home triggers many, many emotions. We also know that you must feel comfortable and safe with the company you hire. We are first and foremost committed to being respectful, compassionate, and discrete when we work with our clients.

At Accident Scene Cleaners you are more than a customer; you are an individual we want to help. We will discuss your unique concerns and needs. We know that many of the items you may agree to dispose of have sentimental value for you. We will work with you as we help you begin to declutter your life. We also know that our job is just a part of your choice to change your life, but we will make this part as painless as possible.

As we begin our cooperative effort we will first talk about hoarding. Along with the definition of hoarding we will discuss other things that are relevant to hoarding.

But first, are you wondering if you or someone in your life could truly be a hoarder? Ask yourself the following about the person you are concerned about. Does he or she

  • keep you from going into one area in the home,
  • talk  excessively about the “stuff,”
  • not always pay bills on time, or not at all,
  • shop to the point where he or she is in debt,
  • take a disproportionate amount of time (hours or days) to clean just a small area,
  • insist on keeping things in their sight and often loses them when they aren’t,
  • delay in making  repairs to the home,
  • have overstuffed closets or a garage, has rented at  least one storage unit and may be considering renting more,
  • refuse to let you come to his  or her home,
  • refuse to loan any possessions to you?

Answering yes to some of these could be an indication that seeking help is probably justified.
